High School Summer School – REGISTER NOW! The Education Foundation is offering the following classes for high school credit (UC approved) this summer on the Samohi campus:Biology (9th grade)
Geometry (9th grade)
Creative Writing (9, 10, 11, 12 grade)
World History (10th grade)
U.S. History (11th grade)
Each of these classes covers a year curriculum in 6 weeks for a fee of $600 (textbook use included). While these will be intense and your student will have to work hard, taking a class will free up your student’s schedule in the fall to take an elective. The Ed Foundation’s summer offerings are high school level, not college level classes. In addition, the Education Foundation is also offering: Laughlinks Comedy Bootcamp – This 3 week class includes Improvisation and Stand Up Comedy, ending in a live performance! The 5 credits earned are not UC approved but are approved high school elective credits. Fee $300.
July 14 - August 1
Jump Start College –
Students will learn to navigate a college search, complete the UC common
application, write a college essay, create a resume of activities and organize
a personalized calendar and filing system for tracking their applications. Fee $600 for 10 day session plus a $10
materials fee; no credit.
